The Modern Classic Cup was born with the aim of celebrating the origins of the sauna ritual, bringing attention back to its purest essence: music, movement, and the fragrance of essential oils.
In this competition, everything is based on technique, gesture, and the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Each master performs individually in a ritual lasting 12–15 minutes, during which water or ice flavored with essential oils is vaporized on the hot stones, accompanied by a musical selection and the classic techniques of heat distribution with the towel.

The WM Modern Classic Cup is therefore a tribute to the roots of traditional sauna, a format that values the mastery and sensitivity of the best Aufgussmeister in the world, in an experience of harmony, concentration, and rebirth.

For three days, Livigno will become the beating heart of the Aufguss world, with national champions from all over the globe ready to express their vision of the classic ritual in the spectacular Alpine Event Sauna di Aquagranda, one of the largest in Europe.
An event that once again confirms the destination's ability to host internationally significant events and to establish itself as a benchmark in the wellness and sauna culture scene, thanks to top-notch facilities, specialized skills, and an environment that combines hospitality, professionalism, and innovation.

The event will kick off on Friday, November 14 with the “Sauna Marathon”, a preview that will allow guests to witness 12 consecutive rituals from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM, to get to know the competing masters up close.
Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16 will be dedicated to the world finals, with an Aufguss every hour and an atmosphere that will unite concentration, rhythm, and inspiration. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday at 6:30 PM.
