The passion for biathlon lights up the summer in Sondalo. From July 7 to 12, 2025, the town of Alta Valtellina will host the summer retreat of the FISI Comitato Alpi Centrali team, welcoming young athletes engaged in preparation for upcoming competitive events, with an eye already turned towards the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympics, which will also highlight the Alta Valtellina area.

For a week, the facilities of the Cittadella dello Sport in Sondalo will be the setting for intense training sessions, but also for moments of sharing and discovery open to the public.

Every day it will be possible to watch the athletes training in the different sports facilities. An opportunity to get a close look at the determination and professionalism of the protagonists of this discipline.

Among the events open to the public, the activity “Test Yourself with Laser Rifles” stands out, scheduled for the afternoons of Monday 7, Tuesday 8, Thursday 10, and Friday 11 July, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the sports field. An engaging, free experience open to everyone (from the age of 6), to try first-hand the aim and concentration required in biathlon.

The highlight will be on Thursday, July 10 at 6:00 PM, with the meeting “In the Footsteps of Champions: Biathlon and the Dream of Five Rings,” at the conference room of the multifunctional center. An opportunity to hear the stories of those who have experienced sport at the highest levels: Michela Andreola and Christian De Lorenzi, former Olympic athletes, along with Nicola Cantoni, skiman of the Norwegian National Team, and Dr. Giulio Rossi, head of Sports Medicine at the Morelli Hospital in Sondalo.
 

At the end, there will be an aperitif at the Bar Palasport, to continue sharing experiences, dreams, and sports passions in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

An intense week full of emotions, where sport and territory meet to enhance talent, training, and the Olympic spirit. Sondalo once again confirms its central role in promoting mountain sports, offering unique opportunities for the public and for athletes.
