Sondalo is gearing up to welcome autumn with one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year: on Sunday 11 October 2026, La Miğiondàra returns, the traditional food walk that celebrates the season of warm colours, genuine flavours and age-old Alpine traditions. Now in its sixth edition, the event winds through the charming village and the woods of Migiondo, turning it into an outdoor experience where nature, culture, good food and togetherness all take centre stage. The 2026 edition is also included in the schedule of “Sagre e fiere tradizionali della Lombardia 2026” and is made possible thanks to the support of Regione Lombardia, recognising the event’s value and its deep connection to local traditions and the area’s heritage.
At the heart of the event—just as tradition dictates—there will be the food trail, which this year features a largely revamped menu and two different ways to take part: the BontàPass Classico, with 5 food stops, and the BontàPass del Buongustaio, which adds the two lunch-dedicated stops to the route.
Each stop will showcase specialities designed to highlight Valtellina tradition and seasonal local produce. It kicks off with torta sbriciolata ai póm (apples), then moves on to the Aperitivo de Samichêl (autumn), one of this edition’s new highlights, featuring pizza from PizzAut Valtellina and the cocktail de la “Butègà”. The trail continues with the pēn de sèghel and wild chestnut cream, served with póm juice, followed by panacotta with caramelised apples; and to finish, you’ll find the ever-present Brašchēr de Miğiónt (roasted chestnuts), served with hot tea or vin brulé.
And for those choosing the BontàPass del Buongustaio, there’s even more: polenta taragna with stewed beef, accompanied by a glass of Rosso, plus a lasagne with sausage and pumpkin with Casera fonduta, for a complete experience.
Along the route, the programme offers plenty of initiatives, with a mix of confirmed favourites and new additions, designed for both adults and children. New this year: country dancing with “Crazy West”, traditional songs by the group “I Mot”, and workshops for children in collaboration with the Parco delle Incisioni Rupestri di Grosio.
And to make the experience even richer, there will be plenty more, including the accordion music, the welcome return of the Museo Vallivo della Valfurva, nature-focused workshops, guided visits to the church and the farm, walks on the backs of donkeys with the Azienda Agricola Pozzi, the sale of Pezzotti and local specialities, an adventure with the Guide Alpine, and much more…
To round off the day, there will be a final celebration in the green area. From the stage set up among the meadows and centuries-old chestnut woods, live music will be the star, with two bands: the Trio Quartet, with their traditional songs in dialect, and Make or Break It, bringing plenty of energy, for an ending all about music and fun.
The Miğiondàra in Rosa trek is back too, with a new route this year and a special new feature: the breakfast stop, created in collaboration with Special Sport Bormio. The route will be guided by the Media Mountain Instructor Laura Besseghini and by naturalist Benedetta Sala, for an experience dedicated to discovering the area’s nature and landscape.
Miğiondàra in Rosa also keeps its important charity element: part of the proceeds will be donated to the Associazione Amazzoni ODV.
To take part, there are several options:
Tickets can be bought in advance up to Friday 9 October at the InfoPoint in Sondalo or online on sondaloturismo.it and bormio.eu. On the day of the event, they’ll be available at an increased price, until sold out.
Miğiondàra is an invitation to spend a day at the heart of autumn, among traditional flavours, nature, music and the many activities along the route. It’s a chance to discover and experience the beautiful village of Migiondo through stories and traditions, knowledge and tastes, in a celebration day dedicated to the mountains and the people who live there. Miğiondàra is waiting for you!
