It happened again, I went to discover a new reality, aartisan company, where there was a story to tell.
When I went to visit Mariolino Mottini, owner of the Falegnameria Enne Emme in Castione Andevenno, I immediately understood that I wouldn't just be chatting about doors and windows.
I found myself immersed in stories made of sawdust, hard work, and true passion, the kind that stick with you...
The scent of wood blends with memories, early experiences, that stubborn desire to build something that lasts over time. Not just frames, but a business with a grain of wood....
Mario didn't start from scratch. Or rather yes, but with a precious legacy in his heart (and in his hands): that of his father. A traditional carpenter, one of those who listen to the wood before cutting it, who teach you not to rush, to work with care, to respect the raw material.
And above all to not give up, to believe in and pursue one's passions.
Mario wants him by his side when he decides to open his carpentry shop.
At the beginning? A lot of inexperience, little money, and a sea of doubts.
But Mario had one certainty: “I want to do this job well.”
And from there, the ascent began.
Interestingly, the first jobs were not furniture, but frames. And instead of saying “no thanks,” Mario seized the opportunity. He immediately understood that there was potential. That this was a path to take. And so he did: he invested, he learned, he kept up to date. He studied every single detail. And today… well, today he makes frames that look like works of art.
I'm not exaggerating.
The beauty is that he has never delegated lightly.
