More than 60 girls from all over Italy participated in the second edition of the high specialization camp organized in Aprica by Rixalto and ASC Sport, as part of the Valtellina Summer League. A unique appointment in the national landscape that offered high-level training and moments of great fun.

The young athletes (with the presence of three boys as well) had the opportunity to work under the guidance of an exceptional technical team, led by Francois Salvagni, coach of Cuneo in Serie A1, assisted by Giovanni Preti, former coach of the Under 20 men's national team, and by Franca Schenone, professional coach.

What made the experience even more special was the presence of professional players in the role of coaches: Vittoria Piani (former opposite of Volley Bergamo 1991), Giorgia Zannoni (libero of Roma Volley Club), Sofia Turlà (setter of the newly promoted Perugia), Laura Bovo (middle blocker of Altafratte Padova), and Federica Stufi, former national team player and team manager of the camp, accompanied by little Pietro. The team was completed by nutritionist Paolo Bonola, athletic trainer Max Cioffi, and physiotherapist Marco Conton.

The days were structured into two training sessions (from 9 to 12.30 and from 15 to 18.30) and took place between the gym in Aprica, the one in Corteno Golgi, the beach volleyball court, and the outdoor field in the town center. The participants, aged between 11 and 16, animated Aprica with enthusiasm, wearing Ninesquared t-shirts and supported by Autotorino as a sponsor.

The camp concluded with a final tournament and an award ceremony in the piazza delle Sei Contrade, in the presence of the parents. The initiative is part of the Valtellina Summer League, a tourist-sport project promoted by Rixalto and ASC Sport with the support of Regione Lombardia, Provincia di Sondrio, BIM, and various local entities and municipalities, aiming to enhance the territory through sports events.

“It was an extraordinary week, immersed in a splendid natural setting and with excellent facilities — said Francois Salvagni —. The girls experienced something similar to a Serie A pre-season retreat.”

Federica Stufi was also satisfied: “It was a Serie A week, with intense training, a welcoming environment, and the opportunity for the girls to grow and have fun, all seasoned with excellent hospitality and the discovery of local specialties.”
