Valtellina in the Mediaset program - Drive Up

Tue, 23/09/2025 - news

The TV program Drive Up, a regular appointment on Saturday afternoons on Italia Uno, has once again made a stop in the province of Sondrio. The crew recorded new segments last week that touch on various roads and locations in the area, thus following up on those made and already aired in previous months.

The format of the program is now well known to the public: the hosts, in scenic and suggestive locations, test drive various car models, trying them out on different roads and terrains. During the tests, they illustrate the technical features, provide opinions on performance, and share driving tips.

With the coordination of APF Valtellina and the essential support of the Consorzio Turistico di Madesimo, the Consorzio Turistico Valchiavenna, the Consorzio Turistico Sondrio e Valmalenco, and the Consorzio Turistico Media Valtellina, along with the involvement of the Polizia Stradale section of Sondrio and Mese, several segments have been filmed that will be aired soon on Mediaset networks.

In Madesimo, where the program had already filmed a segment along the Passo dello Spluga, new shots were made on the road leading to Alpe Motta and Alpe Groppera: an ideal location to test the Hyundai IONIQ 9 full electric, driven by journalist Alfredo Toriello.

In Bianzone, starting from the scenic estate La Gatta and along the panoramic road leading to Bratta, the Audi A5 Avant was tested, again with Toriello at the wheel.

In Valmalenco, finally, on the road that leads from Lanzada to the Campo Moro dams through the spectacular tunnels carved into the rock, Alessia Ventura, a historic face of Drive Up, tried the new Audi A3 All Street.

The broadcasts are already scheduled:

  • Saturday, October 11: segment filmed in Valchiavenna
  • Saturday, October 18: segment filmed in Valmalenco

Both will be aired on Italia Uno starting at 1:45 PM, with the possibility of viewing on Mediaset Infinity. In November, the airing of the segment dedicated to Bianzone is planned (updates will follow).
