From the Walk in Pink to meeting local professionals, this is a programme dedicated to raising awareness, sharing scientific information and promoting a prevention-focused culture.
October 2026 Prevention begins with the small gestures of everyday life: what we put on our plates, the time we set aside for movement, and our ability to listen to our bodies—without neglecting emotional wellbeing. It is thanks to this daily attention that the initiative “October in Pink” comes to life, with a series of events scheduled between October and November. The aim is to boost awareness of women’s health and bring women closer to prevention through information and open discussion.
The journey will kick off with the Walk in Pink with Epy and Michela Iori, taking place on Sunday 18 October at 2.00pm, with departure near the Hotel Forcola. A shared opportunity for people to come together and highlight the value of prevention, underlining the importance of a community that cares about women’s health and wellbeing.
The programme will continue with meetings and initiatives featuring young local professionals, ready to put their expertise at the service of prevention. From nutrition to mental health, from osteopathy to movement, each appointment will offer a chance to learn, share perspectives and gain practical tools to live your wellbeing with greater care and awareness.
The first event on the calendar will be on Monday 26 October at 9.00pm at Aquagranda, “Prevention starts from the plate”, led by nutritionist biologist Camilla Illini. She will guide an in-depth look at the role of food and everyday choices in taking care of yourself and promoting health, with a particular focus on cancer prevention.
Tuesday 27 October will be dedicated to early diagnosis, with a free mobile mammography screening unit at the Casa di Comunità in Via Freita 1521/B, for women invited between the ages of 45 and 74. An initiative that highlights the importance of taking part in the recommended screening programmes and of building regular check-ups into your own prevention journey.
Attention to individual wellbeing will continue on Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 October with sessions curated by osteopath Beatrice Vietti. Each appointment, lasting 30 minutes, includes a first moment of listening, a brief assessment and—where indicated—manual treatment: a space dedicated to looking after yourself and being attentive to your body.
Friday 30 October at 9.00pm will then shift the focus to psychological wellbeing, with “Prevention, wellbeing and mental health for women”, an event led by Beatrice Pradella and Giulia Cusini, psychologists at Quellepsi. A discussion focused on emotions and self-awareness, to explore the role of psychological wellbeing in overall health and to highlight the importance of listening to yourself.
The programme will continue on Friday 6 November at 9.00pm with “Cancer prevention: promoting health through lifestyle”, led by dietitian Letizia Bormolini. The session will examine how nutrition and everyday habits help protect health and reduce the risk of certain cancers, offering practical ideas to understand how mindful choices can contribute to prevention.
Alongside the events, Aquagranda will expand its fitness course schedule with new options open to everyone. From Pilates disciplines to water-based activities, right through to functional training, the programme will include courses such as Power Pilates, Hybrid, which combines muscular strength with aerobic ability, helping improve physical fitness and supporting cardiovascular and metabolic wellbeing, H2O Step, as well as Mamma Fit and Sound Bath, with guided meditation designed to encourage relaxation and inner rebalancing. These activities, included in AQ1816, invite you to embrace movement and moments of self-reflection as an integral part of your everyday wellbeing.
With October in Pink, Livigno renews its commitment to promoting health, creating opportunities for awareness-raising, information and participation that highlight local expertise and remind us that prevention is something to be cultivated every day, through knowledge, self-listening and mindful choices.
