In Bormio and Milan, meetings and tastings are planned to present the territory to journalists and media
On the occasion of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina 2026, APF Valtellina is promoting a series of events between Milan and Bormio aimed at introducing the international press to the tourism offerings of the province of Sondrio, while also enhancing the local gastronomic excellences.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, January 30, at the Milan Chamber of Commerce, during the event organized by the Municipality of Milan for the inauguration of the Media Lounge Area, a workspace reserved for journalists. In the presence of institutions, representatives of the IOC, and media operators, APF Valtellina will offer a tasting of some of the symbolic products of the area, including Bresaola della Valtellina IGP, Bitto DOP, and Valtellina Casera DOP, accompanied by wines from Valtellina, providing a first taste of the local excellences.
The gastronomic proposal continues on Tuesday, February 4, at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan, following the opera Orobea, conducted by Maestro Passerini, when guests will again be able to learn about and taste the representative products of the Valtellina area.
On February 5 and 12, APF Valtellina, in collaboration with the Quality Agro-food District of Valtellina and with the support of the Alta Valle Multi-service Company, will organize two meetings at the Media Lounge Area in Bormio, a space reserved for unaccredited journalists. The events will include a presentation of the provincial tourism offerings, with a focus dedicated to gastronomy and a tasting of Valtellina wines.
In addition to organizing the events, APF Valtellina continues its activities in relation to the international press present at the Olympic Games through constant support and throughout the Olympic period at the Main Media Center in Milan and the Media Lounge Area in Bormio, inviting journalists to participate in tours in various locations in the province of Sondrio organized by APF Valtellina with the support of tourist consortia. An opportunity to discover a wide and varied tourism offering that ranges from sports to nature, from culture to gastronomy.
