How many times have you gone on a diet, convinced that it was enough to cut back on bread, give up sweets, and do a couple of jogs to get back in shape?
Dr. Michele Moriconi – nutritionist, graduated in Nutritional Sciences and Motor Sciences, would quickly tell you: “Wait a minute... that's not really how it works.”
His story begins in 2012, between wellness and fitness, with a passion for movement that takes him to England to deepen all that concerns physical activity and body composition.
However, it is upon returning to Italy that the “revelation” comes: people train a lot, but the awareness of what and how to eat is still far too little.
So Michele rolls up his sleeves, studies, trains, experiments.
For him, nutrition and physical activity are not two parallel tracks, but a single track, the one on which true wellness moves.
And not just for aesthetics, but for true health, the kind that keeps you away from serious issues and helps you to live better (and longer).
When he moves to Bergamo, he continues to work in the gym world… then Covid hits and changes everything.
No physical contact, no scales or skinfold calipers, just questions, questions, questions.
It is during this period that he learns to do a very detailed medical history: eating habits, schedules, recurring mistakes, lifestyle, unconscious behaviors.
Every answer is a piece of the puzzle that helps him really understand the patient.
And without a thousand technological tools – which are not always necessary – Michele understands that to help people feel good, you need to know them inside out. Simple? No. But fundamental.
In his approach, there are no rigid schemes.
Instead, there is a direct line with the patient, which must be kept strong.
