The IODAH platform adopted by APF Valtellina confirms the strong tourist interest in the area
December 5, 2025 – The IODAH platform, adopted by APF Valtellina, is confirmed as a strategic tool for real-time monitoring of tourism trends in the province of Sondrio.
Thanks to the advanced analysis of online reviews and the processing of forecast data, IODAH offers a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative overview, allowing for an understanding of the evolution of tourist demand and supply.
The analysis of online data processed at the end of November, referring to the period from December 5 to January 31, shows an average provincial demand pressure of 72.8, confirming the high interest of visitors in the destination.
As expected, demand further increases in the main ski resorts, with significant peaks during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
In detail, the average pressure recorded is as follows: Livigno 96.3, Bormio 89.8, Valmalenco 75.4, Aprica 86.6, Madesimo 81.7, Santa Caterina Valfurva 83.9.
In February, the average provincial pressure rises to 75.4, confirming the growth in tourist interest. Excluding Alta Valtellina, directly involved in the Olympic event, there is an increase in the indicator across all main ski resorts: Valmalenco 78.1, Aprica 86.8, and Madesimo 85.4.
On the economic side, the average hotel bar (best available rate) for the period from December 5 to January 31 is €216 (rate for 2 people) at the provincial level. In Alta Valtellina, it is €281, in Morbegno and surroundings €115, in Sondrio and Valmalenco €176, in Tirano and Media Valtellina €185, and in Valchiavenna €151.
It is noteworthy that about 70% of hotel offers fall within the price range below €199, confirming a good balance between quality and accessibility.
Considering how the province of Sondrio is perceived, the analysis of around 350,000 online reviews certifies the excellent reputation of the province of Sondrio, with an overall average score of 86/100.
