On Saturday, July 5th, at the Polifunctional Center of Sondalo, the Youth Association Gli Sgangherati di Frontale kicks off the eleventh edition of the Sagra del Cornàt. A day dedicated to traditional Valtellinese cuisine, fun, and socializing for all ages.

The event will take place in the green area and under the tent structure of the center, where the public can rediscover the flavors of the past. Among the new features of the 2025 edition, the craft and hobby market returns after a few years of absence, along with a large play area featuring “old wooden games,” designed for the little ones but capable of engaging everyone with a touch of nostalgia.

In the kitchen, in addition to the classic sweet and savory Cornàt, the Fugascia will make its debut: a sweet focaccia with raisins, to be savored.

Program of the day:

• 5:00 PM: opening with craft market and play area
• 6:00 PM: aperi-cornàt with DJ set and sale of Cornàt for takeaway (until 7:00 PM)
• From 7:00 PM: kitchen opening with sweet and savory offerings
• 9:00 PM: live music with the band "Make or break it"

There will be four variants of Cornàt, prepared according to traditional recipes passed down through generations:

• Salty version: Cornàt in padéla typical of Frontale and Fiadarda, served with salad, local cold cuts, and cheeses
• Sweet version: Cornàt with apples and the new Fugascia with raisins, accompanied by wild chestnut cream and mixed berry jam from “Butega Valtellina”

To accompany, the craft beers of Birrificio Revertis will refresh the evening.

The event is organized in collaboration with APT Sondalo, AVIS Sondalo, Gruppo Alpini Sondalo, Gruppo Le Cognate, Operazione Mato Grosso, Butega Valtellina, and Birrificio Revertis.
