The Sondalove Beer, which will take place in absolute preview on Saturday, August 23, will not only feature craft beer, Valtellinese food, and lots of music. For its first edition, in fact, the association Valtellina Oldtimers, in collaboration with APT Sondalo, has thought of something special.

Walking through the streets and historic courtyards of Sondalo, in addition to the beer and food stands, participants will also be able to immerse themselves in a unique journey, a true “Journey between Engines, Crafts, and Alpine Memory”: 10 animated stops, live and authentic reconstructions that will bring to life fragments of everyday life from the 20th century. Not only historical vehicles like tractors, vintage cars, three-wheeled vehicles, decommissioned military vehicles, and motorcycles, but especially stories: of people, families, work, departures, returns, and passions.

The stops have evocative and suggestive titles: from Ugo's wine to the haymaking days, from alpine toil to the villages that fill with silence, to Marco's workshop, weddings under the frescoes, winters with carburetors, and a new life that begins aboard a car. There's also space for family memory, with a journey from Carla to Alice, and for the simple everyday life of two sisters and their workshop.

The meaning of this journey is clear: it is not just about enhancing historical vehicles, but about remembering what they represent. Every vehicle tells the story of work, the mountains, the crafts that are no longer there, families, and dreams that traveled on two or four wheels. Every engine, even when off, still holds a voice to listen to.

And for enthusiasts, there will be a stop dedicated entirely to them: the Oldtimers' courtyard, an open space for everyone to explore collections of historical license plates, vintage objects, and anecdotes told by the association's members.
