📖 A bit of history

The tower takes its name from the noble family da Pendolasco, who according to some sources resided in Poggiridenti since the Middle Ages.
Despite the scarcity of documentation, the tower is considered a medieval defensive structure, probably part of a larger territorial control system, given its dominating position.

This was one of the many watchtowers present in the valley between the 13th and 14th centuries, built for military and signaling purposes. Today, the tower is still visible, partially restored, and retains its austere charm while calling to mind the fortified past of Valtellina.
