Saturday 17 October
Bitto Show 2026 – Morbegno
The 119th edition on Saturday and Sunday in the centre of Morbegno. Cheese competition, cheese made live, and activities for kids. (There’s even a greased-pole game.)

Gustosando in Valtellina, Dubino route – Dubino
Saturday and Sunday: a hop-on, hop-off tour between cellars and courtyards around the village, with Valtellina wines and local produce.

Pan Ner Festival – Poschiavo (Valposchiavo)
Saturday afternoon at Casa Tomé: the oven fires up for the valley’s rye bread. Snack time and animals in the stable.

Guided tours of the chestnut groves in Campocologno – Brusio (Valposchiavo)
One morning in the chestnut woods with a few owners, then warm chestnuts and lunch in Brusio. Booking is required.

Voluntary Firefighters’ Anniversary and Chestnut Festival – Chiesa in Valmalenco
The Voluntary Firefighters turn 75. On Saturday: a route for children and the chestnut festival; on Sunday: lunch. Proceeds go towards emergency response equipment.

Sunday 18 October
Chestnut Fair – Campascio, Brusio (Valposchiavo)
On Sunday at Casai: market stalls for local produce, roasted chestnuts, visits to the chestnut woods, and a lunch based on chestnuts.

The Chestnut Festival – Andalo Valtellino
A celebration for Pro Loco’s 40th anniversary, at the sports ground. Lunch, chestnuts, music and inflatables. Booking is required by Friday 16 October.

Walk of the Fountains – Chiuro
A run or a non-competitive walk, with a short route that’s also suitable for children. You sign up on the spot.

October Fair – Delebio
Sunday and Monday: stalls in town and a livestock fair. A tradition that’s been going since 1809.
