The Giro d’Italia arrives in Bormio: let’s prepare for an unforgettable day
The 108th Giro d’Italia will stop in Bormio: on Wednesday, May 28, the 17th stage, starting from San Michele all’Adige, will conclude in the heart of Alta Valtellina.
An opportunity not to be missed for our territory, which will transform into a stage of sport, passion, and great visibility at the national level.

Where to position yourself to best experience the passage of the Giro?
1. Sondalo: Viale della Libertà
2. Valdisotto – Playground of Zola (near the bridge)
3. Valdisotto – Zona Le Motte
- Perfect spot to see the cyclists tackle the last climb before the finish line. A spectacular stretch, immersed in nature, with a wide view.
- Musical entertainment with local accordions to accompany the wait joyfully.
- Food truck offering delicious options for the crowd.

Traffic closures in both directions: - From the roundabout junction for Bormio (SS301) along the entire SS301, passing through Turripiano, junction Premadio/Molina/Bagni, until the junction with SS38 of Stelvio: from 3:30 PM
4. Bormio – Last kilometer
- Starting from Bormio Terme, the excitement of the last kilometer of the stage begins: choose your ideal position along the stretch leading up to the finish line, in the cable car area in Bormio.
- Our advice? Stop in front of the Bormio Infopoint: here you can visit the exhibition La Valtellina In Giro at Mulino Salacrist, purchase the official Bormio x Giro d’Italia t-shirt, and collect many other exclusive gadgets.

Traffic closures in both directions: - Via Stelvio, via Milano, Bormio center (SS300 junction), until the arrival at Piazzale Funivie starting from 3:30 PM

To experience all the emotions of the Giro even during the wait, two big screens will be installed:
- Bormio – Giroland: Piazza V Alpini
- Bormio – Finish area: Via Battaglion Morbegno

Throughout the day of Wednesday, May 28, Bormio will be animated by events, music, and moments of conviviality to best welcome the arrival of the Giro d’Italia.

Giro-E: the Giro d’Italia with electric bikes
Bormio will also be a protagonist of the Giro-E, the parallel event to the Giro d’Italia with electric bikes, which allows former champions, guests, and testimonials to experience the thrill of a real stage.
The 14th stage: Tirano - Bormio (61.7 km) will feature the climb to Passo del Mortirolo (1571 m) and the ascent towards the Motte (1422) to reach Bormio, the stage city.

For the Giro-E, no traffic suspension is planned; participants will travel with open traffic accompanied by the Road Police Section.
