The Castello Paribelli is one of the most recognizable historical buildings in the lower Valtellina. It is located in Albosaggia, just a few minutes from Sondrio, in a panoramic position over the Adda plain. Imposing yet harmonious, it is a mix of military fortress and noble residence.
⛪ A bit of history
The origins of the Castle date back to the 14th century, but the current structure is the result of several construction phases. Initially belonging to the Paribelli family, from which it takes its name, the castle had defensive, residential, and administrative functions throughout the centuries.
During the Grisons period, it was often at the center of political tensions and changed hands several times. Over time, it lost its military role and was transformed into a noble residence. Today, it hosts cultural exhibitions, shows, and public events, and has been restored while maintaining its original characteristics.
