Sapori d’Autunno takes place in Val Masino over the weekends of 17–18 October, 24–25 October and 31 October–1 November 2026, and is a food and wine event dedicated to the flavours of autumn.

📅 Dates: weekend 17–18 October, 24–25 October and 31 October–1 November 2026
📍 Location: Val Masino
🕒 Time: according to the opening hours of participating venues; “Due Passi di Gusto” runs from 14:30 to 20:30 on 17 and 24 October
🎭 Category: food and wine / local produce / the area

Three weekends, each built around a key ingredient or a tradition from mountain cooking: chestnuts, game and mushrooms. Restaurants, hotels, trattorias, refuges and pizzerias around the valley offer themed menus and dishes, sometimes paired with selected Valtellina wines.

The event isn’t just about eating at the table. The programme also includes “Due Passi di Gusto in Val Masino”, a step-by-step walking tasting along the Masino stream, designed to blend nature, villages, autumn foliage, local wines and local produce.

Three autumn-flavour weekends

The calendar for Sapori d’Autunno 2026 is split into three themed dates.

The 17 and 18 October weekend is all about Chestnuts, an ingredient used in starters, desserts and preparations that complement other elements of traditional Valtellina cuisine.

On 24 and 25 October, the focus shifts to Game: venison, roe deer and wild boar, served in different styles and often accompanied by polenta, sciatt and other mountain flavours.

The final date, 31 October and 1 November, is a weekend dedicated to Mushrooms, with a special focus on porcini. You’ll find them in starters, main courses and full dishes.
