The 3rd Scala 40 Tournament takes place in Piateda from 16 to 29 November 2026 and is a card tournament organised by La Torre Lounge Bar & Restaurant.
Back at La Torre restaurant in Piateda, the tournament dedicated to Scala 40 is here again, one of the most popular card games. For two weeks, starting at 21.00, players go head-to-head for a spot on the podium and for prizes reserved for the top four finishers. This is the third edition of the tournament.
Two weeks of card challenges
The tournament runs from Monday 16 to Sunday 29 November 2026, with play starting at 21.00, and it brings together Scala 40 enthusiasts who can register for a fee of 20 euros. It’s the third edition—proof that the venue is keen to repeat the event.
Prizes are set aside for the top four finishers:
- 1st place: 600 B.V.
- 2nd place: 400 B.V.
- 3rd place: 200 B.V.
- 4th place: 80 B.V.
The event is organised by La Torre Lounge Bar & Restaurant, in Piateda.

Le origini di Piateda sono remote ed oscure come gran parte dei comuni della Valtellina; gli studiosi rivelano, attraverso le incisioni rupestri scoperte a Chiuro, Teglio e Grosio, che la valle fosse già abitata nel II a.C. da popolazioni affini a quelle della Valcamonica almeno sul solatio versante retico. Durante la conquista romana la Valtellina era abitata dai Vennones o Vennonetes il cui territorio fu incluso nella Regio XI Transpadana. Difficilmente il versante orobico, per il clima più ostile e le asprezze del territorio poteva richiamare insediamenti permanenti tuttavia, vuoi per la progressiva colonizzazione, vuoi per le vie di collegamento attraverso le valli ed i valichi di Vedello, Ambria e Venina con le confinanti valli bergamasche vennero a formarsi i primi insediamenti umani. Il ritrovamento di una macina a palmento romana avvenuta nel 1897 a quota 1480 mt. fa supporre antiche presenze anche sul versante montano del nostro territorio.Scopri di più. Clicca qui
