Towards April 25 - Remembering, Deepening, Discussing

For 12 years, the committee "Towards April 25" has organized initiatives and meetings that, in addition to remembering, serve to deepen and discuss all those historical events that, starting from the twenty years of dictatorship, have mournfully marked the history of our country.

We will remember the short century starting from D'Annunzio's occupation of Fiume, then move on to the Resistance struggle, the tragic expedition of the Alpini alongside Hitler's troops in the Soviet Union, finishing with the season of massacres that tragically unites new and old fascisms. If knowing history is necessary to understand the present, reflecting on the liberation struggle is necessary to fully comprehend our Constitution, which reminds us that all citizens are "equal before the law, without distinction of sex, race, language, religion, political opinions, personal and social conditions."

April 25, 2026 Bike Relay from Chiavenna to Morbegno

From Chiavenna Bertacchi Square, meeting at 7:45, in Morbegno, arrival approx. at 10:45. approx. 40 km, to participate in the provincial ceremony of April 25. By bike, electric or muscle, traveling, where possible, along the bike path. It is possible to join along the route.

Expected stops:

• 8:15 S. Cassiano Mill, via al Piano
• 9:15 Verceia Mario Copes monument at SS 36 bridge/Ratti stream
• 10:00 Mantello town hall square

Return: by train from Morbegno starting from 12:00 every hour, free bike transport.

What to bring: Bicycle in suitable condition, appropriate clothing. It is recommended to bring a spare.
