Step by step, along the Sentiero Valtellina, to remember how important it is to look after yourself. This year too, with a fresh programme, the Walk in… Pink is back—an event promoted by the Amazzoni ODV Association as part of October in Pink, the month dedicated to prevention and women’s health. The date is Sunday 25 October 2026, for a day of movement, smiles and awareness, from Sondalo to Lovero, via Grosotto.

Together, along the Sentiero Valtellina. The event will kick off in Sondalo, at the Cittadella dello Sport. From 9:00, an welcome point will be available for participant registration, the handover of the Amazzoni rucksack and breakfast, offered to all those signed up, so you can start the day in the sweetest way. Welcome greetings will come before the walk begins, scheduled for around 9:30. From there, step by step, the route will become a journey of sharing and friendship along the Sentiero Valtellina, with stops designed to give you time to take a break and recharge your energy. At 11:00 in Grosotto, at the Prati di Punta, a refreshment point will be set up for a snack together. The arrival in Lovero, at the Parco dell’Adda, is expected at 13:00, where participants can pause for a packed lunch and spend the afternoon together, with recreational activities, moments of socialising and opportunities to reflect on the importance of cancer prevention. The programme will also include an appearance by Dr Patrizia Franzini, to explore a topic closely connected to everyone’s health and wellbeing.

A walk for everyone. The Walk in… Pink isn’t a race, but an act of solidarity: an invitation to get moving, to be together and to remember how important prevention is for life. A day when walking also becomes a chance to share experiences, build connections and spread a message of care for yourself and others. The walk is non-competitive, easy and suitable for everyone. Each participant can freely choose their starting stage, experiencing the day at their own pace. Refreshment points will be available along the route to support participants during the different stages.

How to take part

The participation fee is £20 for adults and £10 for under-12s, and also includes the food stops. Bookings are open until Thursday 22 October and can be made at the Infopoint APT Sondalo, or conveniently online on the website www.sondaloturismo.it, where you’ll also find all the information about the event. The initiative takes place with the patronage and in collaboration with ATS della Montagna, the Municipalities of Sondalo, Grosotto, Lovero and Tirano, and the local associations APT Sondalo, AVIS Sondalo, Gruppo Donatori Sangue Tirano, AIDO Gruppo Intercomunale Tirano and Associazione Nordic Walking Valtellina.

The Walk in… Pink therefore renews its invitation to walk together, step by step, to support a culture of prevention and share a message of strength, awareness and love for life.
