Are you craving a tasty side dish or a rustic appetizer ready in just a few minutes? The fascin di fagiolini wrapped in smoked pancetta are a delight of the peasant tradition, perfect for accompanying meat main courses or for enjoying as finger food during your home aperitifs. 😋

An easy, quick dish with guaranteed success: the crispy pancetta pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the green beans, all enhanced by a delicate sauté of onion and a pass in the oven that makes everything irresistible! 🔥

🛒 Ingredients for 4 people

  • 500 g of green beans
  • 8 slices of smoked pancetta
  • 1 onion
  • Butter to taste
  • Salt to taste

👩‍🍳 Preparation

  1. Boil the green beans in plenty of salted water until they are tender but still crunchy.
  2. Drain them and let them cool slightly.
  3. Form bundles of green beans (the “fascin”) and wrap each with a slice of smoked pancetta.
  4. In a baking dish, sauté the chopped onion in butter until it becomes golden.
  5. Place the fascin in the baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for a few minutes.
  6. As soon as the pancetta becomes crispy, take them out and serve immediately.

Great warm, but also delicious at room temperature. A rustic and genuine idea that wins everyone over!
