SANO FESTIVAL – Health, Harmony, Nature, Holistic Morbegno – April 18-19, 2026

The Festival of Well-Being and Environmental Sustainability

is a new fair format that aims to enhance all those realities, companies, organizations, and professionals that promote the principles of a healthy life, which are foundational elements in the lives of mountain people, in a festive and convivial atmosphere, capable of bringing together the most demanding audience with potential new consumers of products and services oriented towards social and environmental sustainability.

Concept

The territory of Valtellina has a historical and still current predisposition towards the concept of "healthy living": holistic practitioners, farms, producers of organic food, companies using circular commerce systems or that recycle are many but should be more supported and represented.

"SANO FESTIVAL – Health, Harmony, Nature, Holistic" aims for well-being and living in harmony with the rhythms and cycles of Nature, presenting itself as a showcase where the means, places, products, services, arts, and disciplines ideal for a sustainable, ethical, and conscious lifestyle are exhibited.

Workshops on Organic Cooking and Food Recycling Education on Taste and Sustainability

On the occasion of the festival, we propose a workshop path designed for schools, dedicated to the discovery of organic cooking and the creative reuse of food.

Objectives of the workshop:

  • Promote a culture of healthy, natural, and seasonal food
  • Raise awareness among children and teenagers about the importance of environmental sustainability
  • Encourage conscious behaviors regarding food waste
  • Stimulate manual skills, collaboration, and creativity in the kitchen

Structure of the activities:

The workshops, conducted by educators and specialized cooks, include theoretical and practical moments. Students will learn:

  • to recognize organic and zero kilometer ingredients
  • to create simple recipes with surplus products
  • to reflect on the food cycle, from field to table (and beyond)

The path is designed to be integrated with themes of food, environmental and civic education, in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. An engaging educational experience that combines learning, play, and responsibility.

Because educating about food means educating about the future.

Companies Area – "Factories of Sustainability"

An area dedicated entirely to local companies engaged in innovation and operating with a sustainability mindset. They will be able to organize workshops, seminars, and talks aimed at students from local schools.

Agricultural Companies Area – "Factories of Authenticity"

An area dedicated entirely to local companies producing organic food, a showcase protecting and supporting the many farmers and small producers at risk of disappearance.

Morbegno (262 m s.l.m.
